How To Turn Your Tea Tree Oil Cologne Recipe Into a Love Potion

How To Turn Your Tea Tree Oil Cologne Recipe Into a Love Potion

Tea Tree Oil? Really?

Tea Tree Oil is widely known for its healing properties. I had never considered it as a cologne additive. I recently changed my mind.

couple-600Tea Tree Oil blends well with basil, bergamot, black pepper, chamomile german, clary sage, clove, cypress, eucalyptus, geranium, juniper, lavender, lemon, marjoram, nutmeg, oakmoss, oregano, peppermint, pine, ravensara, rosemary, thyme, ylang ylang which are frequently included in a manly cologne.

Every perfume consists of 3 scent levels, or “notes” which support each other and create the overall scent. Essential oils, classified as either top, middle or base notes, give each perfume its own special character. Here are a few of the basic terms:

Top note: This is the scent you notice first, but it doesn’t last long because it evaporates quickest. Top notes are a small portion of the final blend and include fresh, light citrus scents using such oils as bergamot, neroli, lemon, lime, rosemary, orange or mint.

Middle note: This links the base and top scents and determines the fragrance family. Middle notes include flowery essential oils, such as jasmine, rose germanium and ylang-ylang and tea tree oil.

Base note or fixative: This scent lasts the longest, adds fullness and carries the other scents. Derived from balsams, roots, resins and wood, bases include such oils as sandalwood, vetiver and patchouli and tend to be dark, heavy and sweet.

Aroma

Tea Tree Oil has a spicy, camphorous, warm, fresh fragrance that is slightly medicinal. It contains antimicrobial, antibacterial, antiviral, antiseptic, and antifungal properties. It is known to be an immune system stimulant and is uplifting, purifying, and cleansing. Tea tree oil is a quintessential addition to use in a diffuser, during facials, in a compress, in lotion, during massage, cosmetic applications, personal care formulations, soaps, perfumery, incense, candles and in baths.

How to Pick the Perfect Perfume and Smell Great!

The right fragrance. Your body produces natural fragrances that can increase your physical attractiveness. But to accentuate it, you can also use colognes that complement your body’s fragrance and make you smell more sexually attractive.

What makes this recipe into a Love Potion?

This recipe on its own will not have women falling all over themselves but pairing it with one of these unscented pheromone products as a pleasant natural cover scent will.

Pheromones are a great way to build confidence, keep people’s attention in social situations, and attract sexual partners. These unscented pheromones for men allow you to combine all of the great benefits of pheromones with any fragrance you want!

Mix your favorite cologne with one or more of these unscented pheromone products such as Chikara Unscented for Men, Alpha-7 Unscented, and Liquid Trust and experience the power of pheromones without changing the way you smell.

One final note: if you are going to use essential oils as pairings for our pheromone blends, please keep safety in mind. You should never put undiluted essential oils right on your skin, as doing so can cause a bad reaction similar to an allergic reaction that will come back every time you have contact with that oil (or even the plant it comes from) again. Always mix them, in appropriate proportions, with a carrier oil before application. We want you to be safe and happy! Read up on the use of essential oils in perfumes before getting started.

1/2 tsp distilled water
15 drops lemon oil
10 drops grapefruit oil
10 drops lemongrass oil
2 drops benzoin oil
3 drops cedarwood oil
5 drops neroli oil
5 drops cypress oil
10 drops verbena oil (use with caution if at all)

Vodka as a carrier oil: High quality 80- or 100-proof vodka is virtually odorless, making it a good choice for an essential-oil carrier in natural perfume. Don’t substitute other types of alcohol, such as rubbing alcohol, which has a powerful odor and quickly evaporates as well.

For freshness: Oils from the skins of a variety of citrus fruits provide the perfumes fruity, fresh note. Lemon, grapefruit are used as light scent oils. They give a refreshing top note and also provide the perfume with its delicate, invigorating scent.

For warmth and spice: The addition of lemongrass, cypress, neroli and verbena oils gives the perfume a mild spicy, slightly woodsy scent.

For fullness and harmony: Benzoin and cedarwood oils give the perfume a lasting fullness. They bind the mixture of essential oils together and harmonize well with the fresh citrus oils.
Citrus oil for refreshment: Gently uplifting and soothing citrus oils, such as neroli, provide a fruity, floral freshness to a perfume’s fragrance.

Citrus Grove Perfume

Citrus Grove Perfume

The aromatic materials in this Homemade Citrus Grove Perfume are entirely natural.

citrus-grove-perfumeThe sense of smell is linked to the brain’s limbic system – which affects sexual behavior, emotion and even memory – and that scents can trigger different responses in different people. Creating your own Citrus Grove Perfume is easy. Find out which fragrance family, or category of aroma, most of your favorite scents belong to by testing different oils. Floral fragrance tends to be popular among women, but Oriental, fruity, spicy, green and citrus are other aromatic options. Fresh scent often appeal to energetic, youthful temperament. A woodsy or citrusy aroma also retains its scent for hours without becoming too powerful, and make them suitable for men to use as a cologne. Fresh, citrus-based perfumes are the lightest in aroma and they linger for the least amount of time. Create your own homemade perfume by selecting from a wide array of essential oils – delicate floral scents or spicy resins or a host of fruity, fresh citrus oil.

Components of Perfume

Every perfume consists of 3 scent levels, or “notes” which support each other and create the overall scent. Essential oils, classified as either top, middle or base notes, give each perfume its own special character. Here are a few of the basic terms:

Natural perfume – how to make “Floriental” nights perfume

Natural perfume – how to make “Floriental” nights perfume

Make Natural Perfume using Essential Oils

floriental nights perfume for natural perfumeThe beginning of the 1900s saw the development of industrially produced synthetic components for perfumes and today nearly all perfumes on the market will contain a percentage of synthetically produced fragrances. However, an increase in the demand for natural products has also increased the demand for naturally produced fragrances and, in particular, Natural Perfume.

An Enjoyable Hobby

Making your own Natural Perfume with Essential Oils is exciting and is made possible through Nature’s fantastic, rich, variety of fragrances. Not only that, it is also fun. You can create a Natural Perfume which is entirely yours. It can consist mainly of your favorite Essential Oil or of Oils chosen to produce a particular effect, e.g. relaxation, stimulation, or feelings of happiness, courage, creativity or eroticism. Perfume is nearly always made up of a mixture of top, middle and base ‘Notes’. When creating a Natural Perfume one should therefore always use a selection of Essential Oils from all three categories.

Components of Perfume

Every perfume consists of 3 scent levels, or “notes” which support each other and create the overall scent. Essential oils, classified as either top, middle or base notes, give each perfume its own special character. Here are a few of the basic terms:

Top note: This is the scent you notice first, but it doesn’t last long because it evaporates quickest. Top notes are a small portion of the final blend and include fresh, light citrus scents using such oils as bergamot, neroli, lemon, lime, rosemary, orange or mint.

Middle note: This links the base and top scents and determines the fragrance family. Middle notes include flowery essential oils, such as jasmine, rose germanium and ylang-ylang.

Base note or fixative: This scent lasts the longest, adds fullness and carries the other scents. Derived from balsams, roots, resins and wood, bases include such oils as sandalwood, vetiver and patchouli and tend to be dark, heavy and sweet.

What is Floriental Perfume?

The name says it all: The florientals are a sophisticated fusion of floral and oriental notes and so many fragrances now fall into this category that it’s a real family in its own right. Florientals blend flowers – including gardenia, jasmine, freesia, orange flower – with spices, warm woods and resins. The result? Fragrances that are sensual and often sweetly seductive, but generally airier and lighter than true orientals.

Make Your Own Perfume

“Floriental” nights

2 tbsp. jojoba oil
3 drops bergamot oil
2 drops neroli oil
8 drops jasmine oil
12 drops geranium oil
8 drops ylang-ylang oil
4 drops patchouli oil

Directions

Pour the jojoba oil into a dark glass bottle with a glass rod applicator.
Add the essential oils drop by drop, and shake thoroughly. You can vary the proportions of the essential oils in accordance to personal preference, but note the geranium oil is what gives this blend its floral flavor. Be careful-too much patchouli oil will easily overwhelm the scent; too much bergamot oil will often irritate skin that’s sensitive.

Caution: Bergamot essential oil should not be used by pregnant women or epileptics.

Application:

The skin must be clean and dry when using perfume, so the scent doesn’t mix with other odors. Such areas as the neck, sternum, elbow and inside of the knee or wrist are the best places to apply perfume; the increased body temperature at these pulse points improves a scent’s development and longevity.

Maintaining Pure Scent

Spray bottles, which will not come into contact with the skin, are the best choice for applying perfume. Direct skin contact may cause dead skin cells to slough off and be deposited in the bottle, which can can have effect on the perfume’s scent over the long term.

Ingredient for this Recipe and their Benefits:

jojoba-oil-organic Jojoba Oil Organic (Peru) for a perfume base: This medium weight, golden oil is a liquid plant wax. Produced from cold-pressed jojoba seeds, it makes an excellent carrier for natural perfumes since it has a very long shelf life, is easily absorbed by the skin and is non-greasy

bergamot Bergamot Oil (Italy) for freshness: Oils from the skins of a variety of citrus fruits provide the perfumes fruity, fresh note. Bergamot is used as a light scent oils. It has a refreshing top note and also provides the perfume with its delicate, invigorating scent.

neroli-essential-oil Neroli Essential Oil (Egyptian) for warmth and spice: The addition of neroli oil gives the perfume a mild spicy, slightly woodsy scent.

jasmine-oil Jasmine Absolute (India) for intense richness: Used to make fine perfumes, jasmine flowers are picked before dawn to prevent any of the soft and sensuous oil from evaporating.

geranium Geranium Essential Oil (Reunion Island) for harmony and balance: This delicate, rosy fragrance is very effective in treating stress, fatigue and anxiety, and it is an inexpensive alternative to genuine rose oil.

ylang-ylang-essential-oil Ylang-ylang Essential Oil (Madagascar) for relaxation: Possibly the most erotic aroma on earth, this sweet, tropical scent is a reported aphrodisiac. It calms the senses and relaxes the muscles.

patchouli-essential-oil Patchouli essential oil (India) for prolonging a fragrance: This warm, earthy fragrance acts as a fixative, slowing evaporation and prolonging the scent.

Furthermore feel free to experiment with this Floriental perfume recipe. In addition there are many combinations of Top, Middle and Base Notes that can make this perfume entirely your own.

I recommend Starwest Botanicals for your “Floriental” perfume ingredients.

orange-spice-cologneThe sense of smell is linked to the brain’s limbic system – which affects sexual behavior, emotion and even memory – and that scents can trigger different responses in different people. Creating your own homemade perfume is easy.

Orange Spice Cologne Recipe

A warming, spicy, and exotic blend that will lift spirits, invigorate senses, alleviate stress, mental fatigue, and tension. The aroma is delightfully reminiscent of Chai tea.

1 organic Cinnamon Stick
25 organic whole Cardamom Pods
15 organic Cloves
1 organic Vanilla Bean – cut into small pieces
1 fresh organic Orange peel – zest only
8 oz Vodka

Directions:

Crush spices in a mortar and pestle. Combine with Vanilla Bean pieces, Orange peel zest, and vodka in a glass mason jar. Cap tightly and shake once or more per day. After 2-6 weeks, strain the spices and pour the infused liquid into a glass bottle with a mister top. Simply add more spices if you desire a stronger cologne.

Ingredients for this Recipe and their Benefits:

cinnamon Cinnamon Stick (Ceylon): Its scent is uniquely warming, uplifting, and stimulating, and its flavor sweet and delicious, hence the flavor and aroma have been utilized in countless confectioneries, baked goods, perfumes, cosmetics, beverages, and cordials. Recent scientific studies validate many of the traditional uses of this medicinal spice, indicating its health enhancing properties.

cardamom-pods Cardamom Pods Whole Organic (Guatemala) In India Cardamom was known as the “Queen of spices” to black pepper’s title as the “King of spices”. Also in India, during the 11th century, it was listed as one of the ingredients in the “Five fragrance betel chew” in the Book of Splendour. Cardamom oil is used to flavor pharmaceuticals, and as a fragrance in soaps, detergents, homemade perfume and other body care products.

cloves-organicCloves (Sri Lanka): An extensively utilized culinary spice since ancient times, clove rivals other well-known spices such as cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg for popularity. Clove is used in liqueurs and mulled wine, perfumes and even love potions. More recently, clove oil has been employed for its analgesic effects in dentistry.

vanilla-beanVanilla Beans Organic (India) While vanilla extract is widely used as a flavoring, many gourmet chefs insist that true vanilla flavor can only be derived from the pod itself. In addition to its use as a food flavoring, vanilla is used to scent everything from perfumes to candles and lotions. It is also used in medicine as a flavoring and to improve the appetite.

orange peel zest for Homemade Perfume Orange peel zest: Orange zest is the top layer of an orange’s peel. It contains the fruit’s oils and adds a bright citrus flavor to a variety of dishes and perfumes. There are several kitchen utensils you can use to zest an orange, including a microplane, grater, vegetable peeler or knife. Pick organic oranges that do not have a wax coating.

vodka for Homemade Perfume Vodka as a carrier oil: High quality 80 or 100 proof vodka is virtually odorless, making it a good choice for an essential-oil carrier in natural perfume. Don’t substitute other types of alcohol, such as rubbing alcohol, which has a powerful odor and quickly evaporates as well.
